High View Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a skilled nursing and long-term care community offering 51 beds, 24-hour skilled nursing care, physical rehabilitation, stimulating activities and programs designed catering to the individual needs of each resident. High View also provides Respite and Adult Day/Evening Care for an unlimited amount of time.
Founded in 1979 by George and Ginnette Dugal in Madawaska, High View Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is nestled in a quaint residential neighborhood setting with a hilltop view of the St. John River and Canada in the heart of the St. John Valley.
Riverview Terrace Apartment Homes, a 12-unit independent living community offering single and double occupancy apartments also conveniently located on our campus in the heart of Madawaska, Maine in Aroostook County. Riverview Terrace Apartments is the perfect place to consider when you no longer want to worry about the burdens of living at home, but with the added security for emergency medical and non-medical situations.

Companionship is key to a trusted relationship with our caregivers. We not only strive to help you with everyday tasks but want to develop a caring relationship with you. We provide one-on-one attention and care that cannot compare in other settings.
Respite and Adult Day/Evening Care
High View Rehabilitation and Nursing Center not only provides "Respite" care, but we have an exceptional and outstanding day and evening "Adult Care Center" program. Respite Care allows caregivers at home to entrust the care of their loved ones in a temporary safe and trained medical environment while they take a break, rest themselves, and go on a vacation.
Our "Adult Care Center" program allows seniors to come on an as needed basis, a few days a week or on a daily basis to not only interact and participate with our residents but to receive medication management and services as required by their physician.
Therapy Rehabilitation Support
Arthritis, physical disabilities, and age-related conditions are some of the few circumstances that prevent patients from caring for themselves. Our caregivers can assist you with daily tasks such as mobility, eating, and grooming as well as exercise and working with our on-staff therapist.
Care for Dementia Patients
Our experienced and highly trained caregivers provide the highest quality of care to both patients and their families. Our goal is to help individuals and their loved ones live happy and fulfilling lives through patience, quality care, medical and educational programs by helping families and our staff understand the needs of our residents during their stay at High View.
